About

“Technology is always evolving & it waits for no one.”

My background and knowledge is very diversified. When I was a kid, I used to take my electronic toys apart and either change what they did or combine other toys to build a better one.

At age 13, I found out one of my neighbors that lived a few houses away was an IBM technician and he introduced me into the world of computers. His basement was loaded with parts and for me it was like a kid at a candy store, except my sweet tooth was motherboards, processors, cases, floppy drives, video cards, memory cards, and monitors! He gave me a crash course, a tech manual, a box of scrapped parts, and told me have fun. That night I built my first computer, an IBM XT 8088 @ 4.77 MHz, with 256KB of memory, dual full height 360k floppy drives, and a green monochrome CRT monitor running DOS. I went by his house the next day and told him all set, he was shocked! From then on I knew I wanted to stay in technology and also wanted help others as he helped me.

At age 16 I was the head technician at a local computer company, by age 18 I started my own computer company. I did custom build computers, computer repair, networking, programming, automation, & training. I did that fulltime for over 10 years. A good friend of mine reached out to me that was in the cell industry & he wanted me to work for him. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. So I began to expand my knowledge into the cell industry repairing cellphones for Nextel & Sprint. I did that for 10.5 years and was regarded as of one of the top technicians on the whole east coast, due to the fact I could do board level repairs onsite and with my computer industry background I could reflash phones & prevent customer’s from losing their information on their phones. I started to see the decline in the need of service centers in the cell industry and it was a matter of time before they would be gone. In late 2011 I had a discussion with a friend that owns a company that is in the low voltage & electrical industry and wanted me to take over a lot of his day to day duties, again I was made an offer I couldn’t refuse. In January 2012 with my computer, networking, & wireless industry skills, I began to further expand my knowledge into programming and repairing of: burg alarms, surveillance systems, access control, fire alarms, home automation, sound systems, alarm monitoring, custom LED lighting, & all other aspects of low voltage. It has been over 10 years & I’m still in that industry. Throughout all those years I still have a select client base in which I continued to service their IT needs.

I have helped many in the past resolve their problems or technical issues in many different industries. Though at times the same or similar questions may be asked, then I’ll explain it again and hopeful not forget anything. It’s not that I’m tired of answering them, but sometimes it’s not a common question or it has been a while that I have answered that question.

So I thought to myself, “wouldn’t it be nice to have a platform where I could refer individuals to” So here I give you, Diverse Technology Solutions, Inc.
